The 2.4L Gen II LE5 is the successor to the 2.2L L61 sequential injection engine. This engine features a higher compression ratio, variable valve timing, and piston oil jets while improving fuel economy, low-end torque, and improved knock resistance. Maximum engine speed is listed at 6500 rpm.
Displacement for the 2.4L engine is 2,384 cc with an 88 mm (3.5 in) bore and 98 mm (3.9 in) stroke. Compression ratio is 10.4:1 This engine makes 170+hp and 160+ft lbs tq.

Note: If you would like to run a mechanical throttle body with this engine you will need to upgrade to the MEFI 5 ECU.
